I have a decent camera, why do I need a professional photographer?
Yes, modern cameras have come a long way! However, many are limited with a single built-in flash and a standard zoom lens and although most are capable of creating good image quality under the right circumstances, not all shoots are under 'ideal' conditions. Lighting is also paramount to a good image. As a professional photographer, I have a large selection of various lighting equipment, and 'professional' cameras and lenses. However, as a famous photographer (Ansel Adams) once said -
“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it!”, and I totally agree.
I have many years' experience of taking photographs, the right equipment for the job, and the knowledge to carry out any task required of me - and to provide excellent images for my clients.
As someone who makes his living from taking photographs, you can expect:
These rates (GBP) and services only apply to the UK. For commissions 25 miles outside of the Otley (LS21 postcode) area, travel expenses will be charged in addition. Mileage will be charged at 0.70p per mile and travel time at £25.00 per hour. If accommodation is required, it will be charged at the establishments' rate.
These rates do not apply to weddings
(please note... we are not VAT registered)
Hourly/Day Rates
1st hour - £120.00
Additional time per hour (or part) - £70.00
Half-day rate (up to 4 hrs) - £300.00
Day rate (up to 8 hrs) - £495.00
All photographs taken on the day will be uploaded to a password protected client area on my website for your security and perusal.
The above rates also include the following number of full high resolution digital images as follows :
1st hour - 5 Images
Additional time (per hour or part) - 5 Images
Half-day - 25 Images
Full-day - 40 Images
In addition, prints may also be purchased
Terms
Our terms are strictly net 28 days (four weeks) unless agreed in advance and in writing.

We understand that sometime it is just not convenient to have photos taken when staff are on site so we don't mind working early mornings or late evenings - or even through the night!
Corporate and Event Photography
- we are available for corporate events and hospitality. We capture the atmosphere of the event, along with a record of the people who attended.
- we also photograph public relations and product launches.
Weddings
- we offer the full wedding package - from the bride and bridesmaids getting their make up and hair done through to the shots at the end of the evening.

- it is a matter of course these days to have headshots of staff in your company, with a fully equipped mobile studio it is easy to set up temporary site at your premises with little disruption to yourselves.
- personal portraits - these days many people prefer to have informal portraits taken of themselves in familiar, outdoor surroundings - often partaking in favourite activities.
